Join Chef Hector Santiago on a culinary journey through Peru which will include VIP passes to the gastronomic fair of Peru, Mistura. Your travels begin in Lima where you will experience the best in cuisine from casual local establishments to fine dining. From Lima you will continue on to Cuzco and the famous Inca ruins of Macchu Picchu. Along the way you will taste the flavors of three different cities through interactive cooking classes, market visits and local products.
Expect a bit of everything on this unique culinary trip from cerviche, criollo, dim sum, traditional Peruvian cuisine and of course Chef Hectors’ specialty tapas!
Cooking Pachamanca is a way of rendering homage to Pachamama (mother earth, earth goddess), at the center of Inca’s cosmogony, together with Apu Inti (sun god). It is a dish buried under the ground and cooked over hot stones for about 2-3 hours.
