Her travel business is a hands-on adventure

Tammy Zacks turned her passion into a career when she founded Travel By Design. MCT

We love stories of women who are able to turn their passion into a career, especially when that career involves travel. Tammy Zacks did just that when she founded Travel By Design, a concept for travelers to experience a destination in an authentic way whether by visiting a private art collection, making goat cheese or learning to make beer.

One of her upcoming trips is with famed Michelin chef Josiah Citrin, owner of Melisse in Santa Monica, Calif. It includes visits with an olive oil miller, a fishmonger and a truffle farmer.

“I am so excited to have partnered with Chef Josiah on this amazing trip,” Zacks said. “Like each of our journeys, Chef Josiah’s trip has been carefully crafted to reflect his interests and expertise in the art of French cooking. The Michelin dining in Lyon, France, paired with the back roads of Provence will be an unforgettable lifetime experience for our food loving travelers.”
